The Ynares Center in Antipolo City is one of the few places that filipino families go for recreation on weekends aside from the malls. If you go there on a Saturday or Sunday morning, you will find many people doing recreation activities. People jogging, doing aerobic dancing, playing badminton and children running or riding their small bikes.
The place is large and airy, fully landscaped and with a bigger gym that hosts professional basketball events, concerts and large gathering of people on an occassion. Since my family moved to Antipolo a year ago, it has became our hang-out place on weekend mornings. When we where still living in the nearby Quezon City, we spend our Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Baywalk in Manila Bay. We seldom go to Baywalk now and instead we go to Ynares now.
